First Year Experience
FYE 100: An introduction to the academic experience at North Central College. This course introduces students to the college experience and the liberal arts tradition. This course is required for all first year students.
Learning Objectives
1) Transitioning: Identify transitional issues that affect how you can adapt to the personal, social, and academic challenges of college life, and learn about available resources to support the transition.
2) Belonging: Gain an awareness of where you are, what your goals are, and develop effective strategies for communicating with and relating to others.
3) Planning: Help identify curricular and co-curricular programs of interest and relevance to you. Understand how these choices affect your success and progress towards graduation.
